B.App.Sc (Exercise and Sports Science), MSc Physiotherapy

Liv graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science before completing her Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University.

Liv has a strong background in movement, exercise and rehabilitation, having spent over 10 years working in gymnastics as a Head Gymnastics Coach across recreational and competitive programs. This experience developed her strong skills in movement analysis, exercise prescription, coaching and education, which she now applies to physiotherapy.

Liv began her physiotherapy career in musculoskeletal private practice, working with people experiencing both acute and persistent pain and developing a strong understanding of movement, rehabilitation and exercise.

Since joining Advanced Neuro Rehab, Liv has developed a particular interest in vestibular physiotherapy, dizziness and balance disorders, concussion rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation.

Clinical interests

Liv has a particular interest in:

  • Dizziness and vertigo
  • Vestibular physiotherapy and vestibular rehabilitation
  • BPPV
  • Vestibular migraine
  • POTS
  • Concussion and persistent post-concussion symptoms
  • Stroke rehabilitation
  • Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Balance and falls prevention

Liv enjoys working with people to understand the factors contributing to their symptoms and developing individualised rehabilitation programs that are practical, achievable and focused on the activities that are important to them.

She is passionate about continuing to develop her clinical skills and knowledge, particularly in vestibular and neurological physiotherapy, and supporting people throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Treatment approach

Liv takes an individualised and collaborative approach to physiotherapy, taking the time to listen to each person’s concerns, understand their goals and identify what is most important to them. She believes that understanding the person as a whole is an important part of developing an effective rehabilitation plan.

Her treatment approach combines hands-on physiotherapy with exercise and movement-based rehabilitation, tailored to each person’s presentation, abilities and goals. Liv focuses on helping people better understand their symptoms, build confidence in movement and develop practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

She enjoys working with people to problem-solve complex presentations and develop a clear, achievable rehabilitation plan that helps maximise function and support a return to the activities that are important to them.

Outside of physiotherapy

Outside of work, Liv enjoys staying active, exploring Adelaide’s wine regions and beaches, trying new food and restaurants, and spending time socialising with friends.
