Vanessa Wittwer
B.App.Sc (Physiotherapy), Master of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy)
Vanessa graduated from the University of South Australia in 2013. She initially started her career rurally experiencing a variety of neurological presentations in both hospital and community settings and then spent time working in the NHS in England. After returning to Australia Vanessa joined Advanced Neuro Rehab and her passion for continuing education led her to complete a Master of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy) at Flinders University in 2023. Vanessa is now an APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist.
Clinical interests
Vanessa enjoys working with all neurological conditions, and particularly enjoys working with people experiencing:
- Dizziness and vertigo
- BPPV and vestibular conditions
- Headaches and migraines
- Ataxia conditions
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s
- Balance problems and falls prevention
- Functional Neurological Disorder
Treatment approach
Vanessa has a passion for empowering people to lead their best lives in any situation through goal orientated, holistic therapy. Vanessa utilises hands-on approaches with tailored exercise programs to enhance rehabilitation. Vanessa is an empathic and compassionate clinician who understands that listening and understanding the whole person is the most important aspect of therapy. Vanessa also believes that NeuroPhysiotherapy should be enjoyable and fun, so you will often hear laughter from her room.
Outside of physiotherapy
Vanessa enjoys reading and is always trying to learn something new. Vanessa loves travelling and exchanging travel stories with anyone she meets. She also enjoys being outside and now has a young daughter to explore with.
